…on the website, of course.
No one really wants another password to remember, and totally get that. However, we consider everyone that shops on our website a client. If you’re a client, we are responsible for your skin. So that means if we see you buy Glycolic Cleanser and Radiant Serum and the Anti-Aging Exfoliant Masque, we’re going to reach out and make sure you aren’t only using those products. (That would be WAY too much exfoliating and too little hydration!) These products are medical grade and they’re strong; so they must be used correctly to be effective without being too harsh.
What does medical grade skincare actually mean?
Medical grade skincare products use researched ingredients and typically have higher concentrations of active ingredients. The higher concentrations allow for treating the skin conditions, and not just the superficial effects. Some skincare has more filler ingredients than others. For a product to be deemed medical grade, it has to have 90% pure ingredients vs the industry standard of 70%.The medical grade products work on the top layer of the skin, aka the epidermis, to influence the behavior of the skin cells in the dermis. Its ability to do that is largely because of the more complex formulations that medical grade products use to carry the product into the skin. Because of the strength, efficacy, and more complex formulations, medical grade skincare is usually only sold by professionals.
Products with a medical grade or pharmaceutical grade label also have to prove their claims in clinical trials. For instance, companies can’t claim that a product increases hydration in the dermis without proving these results. Brands like Neutrogena or Drunk Elephant aren’t held to this same standard. Their founder and her friends could use a new product, like it, and send it into production. I’m not saying they do that; but when they aren’t held to a different standard, we don’t know their process.
While it would be extremely easy to just go to the drug store and get your skincare products, it would be more beneficial to you in the long run using medical grade skincare, recommended by Deux Skin, of course.
Love you bye!!!! (Can you tell im a toaster???) – Sarah
